Change of Address:

If you change your address with Monroe County, please call CSEA 2 1-800-342-4146 to change your address with CSEA.  Why?   Once we get to the point where we have a tentative agreement, this agreement will be mailed to each person in the CBA.  If we get yours returned, we will have to try to reach you to get your updated address.  Why not keep it up-to-date?

Negotiating Update:

Your negotiating team will be sitting down with the County on 6/25/24 for the first time. After this initial meeting, we will be meeting every two weeks to discuss except we have some conflicts in July so we will only meet once. The negotiating team for the County does have our Proposal #1 which is language changes within the contract.

Negotiation Update 05/12/2024 

We have three (3) proposals in one package to give to the County.

1. The first proposal is for language changes like: taking out words in Articles and adding commas to separate reimbursements, among other language changes.

2. The second proposal is for monetary changes like:  wages and adding the shift differential agreement changes, among other monetary changes.

3. The third proposal is for section changes.  If there is a section in the contract, there could be come changes like:  taking out titles that no longer exist in a particular section or adding verbiage to existing sections or changing dollar amounts for items in the sections.

 CSEA 2024 statewide college scholarship applications available Applications for our union’s statewide college scholarships are now available! Graduating high school seniors who are eligible dependents of CSEA active members are eligible to apply for and receive a scholarship. CSEA awards 18 $1,000 scholarships under the Irving Flaumenbaum Memorial Scholarship program, three in each region. Pearl Insurance and MetLife each sponsor a one-time $2,500 award. Application deadline is May 1, 2024. PLEASE NOTE: Old applications could disqualify potential candidates. Please do not use applications from previous years – applications were recently revised.
