Unit7400's Task List for Negotiations with Monroe County:

1.Sent a request to Monroe County for reports Unit 7400 is requesting for negotiations in November 2023. In process by the County

2.Created a survey to be completed by dues paying members in November 2023. Completed

3.Working with CSEA Inc. to send the survey out to the dues paying members in December 2023. Completed

4.Create a Communication Plan for the Negotiation team to review. Being reviewed by the NT on 1/11/24

5.Finalize the Negotiation team (NT) Completed

6.Survey results being tabulated by the Union. Slated for 1/11/24

7.Meetings scheduled with the NT Members. First meeting set for 1/11/24

8.Go over NT Rules for process. Slated for 1/11/24

9.Go over SMART goals. Slated for 1/11/24

10. Create a mapping document of departments. Slated for 1/11/24

Surveys:  The Negotiating Team (NT) will be looking at the survey results on January 11, 2023.  If you didn't receive an email through your home email address, please send an email to unit7400@rochester.rr.com and ask a survey to be sent to you before the 11th.

 Monroe County Lab - Employees smelled an unusual odor at the lab.  It was determined that an adapter wasn't getting the correct pressure.  A part was replaced, no odor anymore.

 Negotiation Survey:  CSEA Inc. will be sending a Google Form out to everyone via email for negotiations.  Please fill out the form so the team knows what to negotiation on.

 Downtown Parking Stipend -We recently were notified of an oversight from an employee who did not receive the parking stipend.  Departments are being asked to go through the list of employees who qualify. If you did not receive the stipend for downtown, please call the union office at 328-5250 or email unit7400@rochester.rr.com.    

Scam Alert - Guard your Personal Information!

 

 Monroe Community Hospital (MCH) -  Labor Management Meetings are starting up with the MCH Management staff to go over several open items.

 Department of Transportation - Updated Policy During Labor Management CSEA and the DOT sat down to go over an updated DOT policy.  Region 6 Health and Safety activist attended this LM meeting on behalf of CSEA.

 Carpet - Probation - The Probation Department in Cityplace has had 3 Workman Comp claims, stemming from beveled carpet.  Through discussions with Monroe County DES, they have two phases scheduled for carpet replacement.  The first phase was in October 2023.  DES had the carpet vendor come in and replace the beveled carpet to prevent further injury. The second phase will start in January of 2024. 

 Department of Transportation - Standby/Call-in:  After discussion at Labor Management, it was determined that the DOT department would follow the same process as the rest of the departments for Standby/Call-in pay.  

Class Action Grievance - Airport November 2023  CSEA filed a grievance regarding the Winter schedule that neglected to utilize seniority.  The grievance was resolved at the Second Step of the grievance procedure.  All affected employees were very satisfied with the outcome.
