The Tone Has Been Set!!!!!!!
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Republican County Legislator Dan Quatro, who lives in the Suburb of Webster, demonstrated how woefully out of touch he is with the working families of Monroe County. In a statement to the press following the Democratic caucus press conference, Quatro said, “The reason that counties in New York Stat are having financial difficulties aren’t because of the size of the legislature, it’s because we have a tremendous amount of mandate expenses. We spend too much on Medicaid and WE SPEND WAY TOO MUCH ON PUBLIC EMPLOYEE UNIONS.”
I ASK you Brothers and Sisters are you and I going to let this statement go by without a response from the very people that keep this county running every day?
I SURE HOPE NOT! Here is your chance to stand shoulder to shoulder in support of your hard work and dedication to Monroe County. Let’s show this elected official that we will not stand by quietly and let him or anyone else belittle the working families in our community.
Join us March 9th, 2010 5:15- 6:15pm in front of the Monroe County Office Building. Let your voices be heard by the very people that you elected.
You can also sign up to speak before the legislature. You have to call to be put on the list at 753-1950, a couple of days before.
REMEMBER……”UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL”
Yours in Solidarity,
Cris
